BOARD CERTIFICATION

Many consumers are well aware of medical Board Certification, as it is instrumental to the integrity of medical specialty care. Medical Board Certification provides a trusted credential that is important to patients and relevant to physician practice.

Consumers should also be aware that the Florida Bar provides a similar process of Board Certification. Board certification recognizes attorneys’ special knowledge, skills and proficiency in various areas of law and professionalism and ethics in practice. Certification is the highest level of evaluation by The Florida Bar of the competency and experience of attorneys in the areas of law approved for certification by the Supreme Court of Florida.

The Florida Bar’s board certification program sets high standards for lawyers who aspire to further their professionalism credentials. Attorneys who earn Florida Bar board certification have demonstrated their expertise and commitment to excellence in the practice of law.

As a Board Certified Specialist, Mr. Terry uniquely suited to provide you with counseling on patent law, trademark law and copyright law. Not all qualified lawyers are certified, but those who are board certified have taken the extra steps to have their competence and experience recognized.

Board Certification is a peer-developed, externally validated program which serves as an important markers for a higher standard of legal practice. Board Certification reflects the critical core values of compassion, client-centeredness, and a passion for the law. Legal consumers look for these markers as the best measure of a lawyer’s knowledge, experience and skills to provide quality legal counseling within a given specialty.
